Open Positions

Forklift Operator

Reporting to the Plant Manager the forklift operator is responsible for working safely and keeping the line stocked with material and clearing away processed materials. Forklift Operators will also help load and unload trailers with product.

  • Pass forklift training certification and safety testing prior to operation of company forklifts.
  • Attend weekly safety meetings.
  • Perform all required pre-shift forklift inspections to ensure the forklift is operating properly.
  • Personal protection equipment must be worn at all times when in the warehouse.
  • Perform all functions in a safe manner at all times.
  • Operate the industrial forklift to move pallets, baled corrugated or other materials to designatedareas in the warehouse or outside in the yard.
  • Operate the forklift to load or unload truck trailers or shipping containers.
  • Inspect the trailer/container to be loaded, ensure the trailer or container is “Broom Swept” clean and floor, sides, and roof are free of damage. Report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
  • Make sure dock plates/ wheel chocks are in place to stabilize the trailer.
  • Travel on your forklift with forks completely under the load, at the proper height, just off the warehouse floor or asphalt parking lot.
  • Weigh products or materials, if necessary, prior to loading trailers or containers .
  • When loading trailers or containers, adhere to company standards as to limits on weight, heightand spacing to avoid loads falling or shifting during transportation.
  • Complete trailer/container load sheets and turn them in to your supervisor.
  • Follow company procedures when changing LP tanks on your forklift.
  • At the end of your shift, park your forklift in designated areas, place forks on the floor, controlsneutralized, brake on set and power off.
  • Advise your supervisor of the status of any uncompleted tasks.
  • Perform all functions in a safe manner at all times.

Maintenance Technician and Trailer Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the maintenance manager both Maintenance technicians and Trailer Technicians support PLM by quickly identifying problems with machines or faciliy and fixing them.

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Pallet Repair / Builder

Reporting to the Operations team, Pallet Builders repair defective wooden block and stringer pallets by removing broken, missing, defective wooden boards from frame of pallet, by using claw hammer, crow bar, nails, and or air hammer. Repairs pallet frame with new boards. When repairs are completed; forwards repaired pallet for painting and logo. Responsible for housekeeping of the pallet repair area.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Applicants must be able to read a tape measure, use hammer, nail gun, pry bar and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Visually inspects pallets for rough edges, surface nicks, dents, nail holes, cracks, open seams, broken boards.
  • Removes broken boards.
  • Hammers protruding nails into wood blocks, or removes with crow bar or hammer.
  • Use jig saw to cut or remove old, bent broken nails.
  • Cuts out damaged or defective boards, or blocks.
  • Repairs pallet with resupplied boards that are pre-cut to frame size by use of hammer, nails, and or air hammer by nailing new boards into place.
  • Other Duties as assigned
